What we do

The work,
spelled out.

No mystery line items and no drip-fed extras. Here is what each job involves and how we handle it.

01

Logbook servicing

Your car's logbook sets out exactly what the manufacturer wants done and when. We follow that schedule item by item, use parts that meet the manufacturer's specification, and stamp the book when it is done.

That matters because under Australian Consumer Law your consumer guarantees hold no matter who services the car, and manufacturer warranties generally let you pick your own repairer as long as the schedule and standards are met. You get dealer-grade servicing without dealer pricing, and the paperwork to prove it.

02

General repairs

Brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, exhausts, belts, batteries and the rest of it. Petrol, diesel and hybrid, older cars and new ones, work utes and the family runabout.

Every repair starts with a written quote you approve. If we open something up and find more, work stops until you have heard the what, the why and the cost. That is the house rule.

03

Roadworthy certificates

Selling, transferring or re-registering a car in Victoria usually needs a roadworthy certificate, and only a licensed vehicle tester can issue one. The inspection covers the safety of the vehicle: wheels and tyres, steering, suspension and brakes, seats and seatbelts, lights and reflectors, the windscreen and wipers, and the structure of the car.

A roadworthy is not a full mechanical health check, and we will not pretend otherwise. If the car needs work to pass, you get a clear written list and a quote first, then you decide. The certificate is valid for 30 days once issued.

04

Diagnostics

Warning lights, strange noises, rough idling, hard starts. We scan the car, trace the fault properly instead of guessing at parts, and explain what we found in plain English before anything gets replaced.

You will never hear "we replaced a few things and it seems fine now" from this workshop. You will hear what was wrong, what fixed it and what it cost, in that order.

05

Pre-purchase inspections

Buying privately or off a car yard? Bring the car in before you commit, or send the seller our way. We go over it and give you a written rundown of what is solid, what is wearing and what it will cost to put right.

No sugar-coating. It is cheaper to find out before the money changes hands.

06

Tyres, brakes & batteries

The wear-and-tear items, supplied and fitted: tyres matched to how and where you actually drive, brake pads and rotors, and batteries tested before they are replaced, not after you are stranded.

Done while you wait where we can. Call ahead and we will hold the parts.

07

Panel & paint

Accident damage, car park dents and tired paint brought back to shape and colour. We handle the repair and walk you through the insurance paperwork in plain English, including what a claim means for you before you lodge it.

If a job needs a specialist we trust more than ourselves for your particular car, we will say so and point you there. That honesty is cheaper than a redo.

On pricing

Why there is no price list on this page.

Two cars with the same badge can need very different work, and a price list that pretends otherwise is how surprise invoices happen. So we do it the other way around: tell us the car and the problem, and you get a firm written quote before we start. The quote is the price.
